Since 2006, our company’s food safety and quality management system has been certified according to BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 9, August 2022 and ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Organic products

More than ten years ago, we were the first in Lithuania to produce organic condiments: mayonnaise, tomato sauce and ketchup. Compliance of our products with the rules of organic agriculture and EC regulations is confirmed by the public body Ekoagros which carries out certification audits and issues supporting documents.

The most popular product

The traditional tomato sauce, a true classic, is the most popular tomato sauce in Lithuania. Nine years in a row it has been recognized as the most popular product in Lithuania. First acknowledged in 2003, the product maintains its leadership position. It remains popular and favoured by customers.

Our history

About our factory

UAB Daumantai LT is one of the most modern and largest condiment companies in the Baltic region. The company is valued for product quality, innovation, transparency, international cooperation and active community activities.

In 1991 the company was founded. It started its business from trading and was the first to open a grocery store in Kedainiai. The foundation of a modern, world-class factory became 1996. in the simplest bowl, dip the first “Daumantai” mayonnaise.

Over the years, the product line has been complemented by recipes for tomato sauce and ketchup, and already in 2000 the factory produced 45 tons of mayonnaise and 15 tons of tomato sauce daily

Today, the company produces more than 100 types of  mayonnaise, sauces, ketchup, spice mixes and other products of different names..

In Lithuania Daumantai products have strong positions in their categories. “Traditional” tomato sauce has won the title of “Most Popular Product” nine times.

In 2018, as the country celebrated its centenary, Daumantai LT, UAB was announced as the winner of the special nomination “For Sustainable Business / 100th Anniversary Company” established by Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts.

Increasing export volumes every year actively open up the markets of Scandinavia, Germany, France, Middle East. The products of the organic line produced in Lithuania compete the most abroad.

Lithuanian capital company is an example of socially responsible, transparent and progressive company in the region. Daumantai promotes entrepreneurship in the local community, helps people with disabilities, supports education and care facilities, sports and other projects. Since 2012 the company is an active member of the transparent business initiative “White Wave”.

At present, Daumantai plant has 83 employees in Kedainiai. The company has a strong motivational system for employees, employees with a need for socio-economic support, and young children. Possibilities to practice and gain experience are created. The average salary of UAB Daumantai LT is higher than the national average.

The company is one of the first condiment producers in the country committed to until 2025 to completely abandon caged hen eggs in their products. During the transitional period, the proportion of free-range eggs in production shall be gradually increased until it reaches 100%. The Daumantai mayonnaise line, which contains only free-range eggs, has already been introduced to consumers.

Sauces and mayonnaise recipes are developed by company technologists in a factory-based laboratory. 2018 An updated Daumantai mayonnaise recipe was launched on the market in February 2019. Daumantai tomato sauce “Royal” was renewed. These seasonings are denied sweeteners, preservatives, food additives and modified starch, using black salt and natural lemon juice

By focusing on energy efficiency improvement in the company’s administration and production processes. UAB Daumantai LT plans to install a solar power plant. According to the project, the plant will meet 25 percent. the annual electricity consumption of the plant. 2018 UAB Daumantai LT invested LTL 165 thousand. Eur to upgrade the lighting system in factories. The new LED system reduces electricity consumption by 50 percent. enables the conservation of natural resources and the creation of better working conditions for workers.

In 2020 We participate in the Lithuanian production price reduction campaign “All for Lithuania” initiated by the Maxima trade network, which is intended for Lithuania to recover as soon as possible after the first wave of the crisis caused by the coronavirus.

Organic ketchup sold in the Swedish market was recognized by Coop buyers as the best organic ketchup.
